I’m Charlotte and I have worked in the Education sector for the past 20 years both in Mainstream and Specialist school settings.
For the past 13 years I have worked at Talbot Specialist School as a Teaching Assistant and as a HLTA with responsibility for Communication. My role at Talbot is varied and challenging.
I`m a qualified Makaton Regional Tutor and trained in PEC`s, Intensive Interaction and can support with high tech aids.
I believe that everyone has something to say, and it is my passion to find the best way for them to find their voice! I enjoy helping young people to communicate whatever their challenges and seeing them succeed.
In the last 3 years I have qualified as a Sleep Practitioner and understand the importance of sleep and the impact of what a poor night’s sleep can have on young people. I have supported who school communities including running sleep workshops for parents/carers, coffee mornings, staff meetings etc to try and highlight the importance of sleep.
