New to Being a SENCO

Each year Fusion SEND Hub run a programme for colleagues within school who are new to the role of SEND.  The programme is aimed at SENCo’s, Assistant SENCo’s,  Aspiring SENCo’s, Inclusion Managers and any SENCo that feels they need a refresher.   These 5 informal sessions provide support and information so that colleagues who are involved in developing and leading SEND within their setting feel more confident about fulfilling their roles and responsibilities in line with the current SEND practice within Sheffield. To gain the most from this programme, it is advisable to attend all the sessions although colleagues that are new to the role part way through the year are more than welcome to join.

This course will take place over 5 sessions throughout the year delivered virtually and cover the following topics:
