Team Teach is accredited training designed to equip schools and educational settings with the strategies and techniques to support children and young people with challenging behaviour. Team Teach promotes the least intrusive positive handling strategy with an emphasis on exhausting all verbal and non-verbal de-escalation techniques before physical handling methods are utilised.
The Team Teach approach emphasises positive relationships as being the key element in behaviour support, with physical techniques serving as only one part of an overall approach.
Our Team Teach trainer, Becci Laughlin, is an experienced special school teacher and trainer who delivers accredited Team Teach courses. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to enhance the learning of staff. She is also a Trauma-Informed Practitioner and is passionate about improving outcomes for young people, particularly relating to wellbeing and behaviour. Becci also specialises in targeted support for the development of school hubs and integrated resources (IRs).
